History
El Coqui Ice Plant is an ice factory with more than 50 years of experience serving the people of Puerto Rico. Since its inception, El Coqui Ice Plant has been characterized by its excellent service and quality of its product.
We were founded during the 70s by the businessman José "Toño" Guadarrama Silva. Mr. Guadarrama led El Coqui Ice Plant until September 2006 when it was acquired by Becar Inc, a Puerto Rican corporation created by the marriage of entrepreneurs Betsy and Carlos Lopez.
Chaired by Mr. Lopez, and his excellent workforce, they managed to make the Coqui Ice Plant among the leaders of the ice manufacturers and distributors industry on the island.
Today, El Coqui Ice Plant is one of the most reliable ice plants with the largest production capacity in all of Puerto Rico.
